Nuro, Upi (February 19, 2015) – A school owned and operated by Episcopal Diocese of Southern Philippines, the Saint Francis High School, conducted an information drive campaign on the implementation of the Proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) through symposium.
The activity aims to educate the students of the current social and political issues particularly the GPH–MILP peace talks.
Former UpiVice Mayor Abdullah Salik Jr, Al Haj, Executive Director of Alliance of Peace Advocates, discussed Basic Information about the Bangsamoro Entity and brief history of the Bangsamoro people, system of government.
In the open forum, the distinction between a Muslim and a Bangsamoro is explained.
The decommissioning under the BBL is also discussed by the speakers.
Before end of the program, Alih Anso, president of Alliance of Peace Advocates, handed a copies of primer and proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law to the head of the school.
